Abstract

The central subject of this research is the study about textile terminology, according to the Variation Theory, on model proposed by Faulstich (1995-2003). The Faulstich’s Variation Theory application has proved the existence of variation in Specialized Language. Data of the textile area were analyzed, after having been collected from women’s fashion magazines by means of which can see variation on the CTU’s usage into the ‘constructo’ proposed by Faulstich, where variation occurs by the action of the gradual movement in time and space and it’s caused by the function of a given variable.
